The Bahía de Cárdenas (Spanish for: Bay of Cárdenas ) is a shallow bay on Cuba's northern coast, in the province of Matanzas.

It lies on Cuba's north coast, facing the Nicolas channel and is bordered to the north by the Hicacos Peninsula. In the north- east are the Cayos of the Sabana - Camaguey Archipelago, for example, Cayo Cruz del Padre, Cayo Galiano and Cayo Cinco leagues. The southeastern boundary is the coastal wetlands and mangroves of Martí and the Bay of Santa Clara. The city of Cárdenas and its port is located at the southwestern end. The bay has a total area of 250 km ². An artificial channel Kawamakanal, south of the town of Varadero connects the Bay of Cárdenas with the Florida street. On the south coast, the combination of dams and Cayos is used for oil production.

During the Spanish-American War, the bay was on May 11, 1898 scene of the Battle of Cárdenas.
