Bay United F.C.

Bay United FC is a South African football club based in Port Elizabeth. The club plays in the National First Division.

The club was founded in 2006 as the successor club Maritzburg United with the support of Volkswagen South Africa, but there again today both football clubs, after Sipho Pityana had taken over the club in 2007. After that, the club failed to qualify for the 2008 Premier League Soccer, but increased as Table sofoirt again. Since then, the club could not reach the re-emergence and sponsors from Port Elizabeth remained mostly eliminated. Therefore declared Pitanyas company Izingwe Holdings in March 2010, they wanted to sell the club, but so far was still no buyer.
