Bayanaul National Park

The National Park Bayanaul is a national park in north-east Kazakhstan in the district of Pavlodar.

The surrounding landscape is characterized by further steppe. This small mountain range is a coniferous forest oasis amid the relatively sparsely vegetated landscape. Protected by bizarre rock formations, there are three scenic lakes in the interior of the mountain. This unique landscape is protected as a nature park. Locally there are signs that point to a support by the UNESCO, but the park is not yet out as a natural monument in the World Heritage List.

The nature park Bayanaul is in the summer months a popular destination (especially for short breaks from Pavlodar, Karaganda and Ekibastus ). However, the influx of tourist engaged with the construction of holiday homes and tourist cafes but also by carelessly sparked wildfires sensitive in the idyllic one.

Within Kazakhstan Bayanaul competes with Borovoe (northwest of the new capital Astana located ) to the rank of the most beautiful resort area.
