Bayazid Bastami

Bayazid Bistami, including: Bayezid Bistami (actually: Abū - Yazīd Ṭaifūr Ibn ʿ Īsā Bistami, Arabic أبو يزيد البسطامي ) (* 803 in Bistam ( northern Iran ), † 875 ) was a Persian Muslim mystics ( Sufis ).

Bayazid 's grandfather was a Zoroastrian from Persia. Bayazid conducted a detailed study of Islamic law and practiced by strict self-control. His whole life he was conscientious in the performance of religious duties, and observed the additional services.

He put his students encouraged to give their affairs in the hands of God, and he encouraged them to accept the pure doctrine of the unity of God. This doctrine consisted of five features: the obligations in accordance with the Quran and the Sunnah observed to always speak the truth, to keep the heart free from hate, to avoid forbidden food and to avoid renewals.
