Studios

BBC Sessions is a compilation CD of the British rock group The Who, which was published in 2000. The album reached # 24 in the UK album charts while it came into the U.S. Billboard charts only to position 101.

Content

The BBC demanded in the 1960s, often from the performers to play songs live on the radio. Thus, some of the songs seem harder and rougher. The Who were here forced to reproduce the studio sound. Some songs, however, they used the soundtrack of the studio recording, on the Roger Daltrey sang only a new vocal track.

Track list

Selection

The BBC Sessions also contain rare songs by The Who, such as Just You and Me, Darling, Good Lovin ' or Dancing in the Street. In addition to two jingles and six cover versions, this CD contains 17 original The- Who- songs as well as a new version of substitutes. Also have to listen to the songs and some interviews with Pete Townshend original radio announcements.

In this collection is missing a few BBC songs of the band that have now emerged as a bootleg. It is worth mentioning nebenSo Sad About Us and Summertime Blues, recorded in 1966, the cover of Man with Money the Everly Brothers.

Chronology

The recordings date from the years 1965-1973 and are kept apart from the jingles and the third title, in chronological order.
