BBCH-scale (grape)

The BBCH-scale for vines describes the phenological development of the vine after the BBCH-scale scheme.

The BBCH code gives information about the morphological stage of development of a plant. The acronym officially stands for the Federal Biological Research Centre, Federal Office of Plant Varieties and CHemical industry. The scale was in 1994 by Lorenz et al. presented.

Plant protection recommendations are usually given in terms of the stage of development according to BBCH.
