Bburago

Bburago is an Italian manufacturer of toy models, located in the village of Burago di Molgora ( province of Milan ). He produced from 1974 to 2007, initially under the brand name Martoys, from the mid-seventies under the name Bburago.

Initially, the company introduced metal car models here in 1:24 scale, which were characterized by a high rate as measured by the detail and opening doors.

Later they took in the scales 1:18 and 1:43 models modern and pre-war vintage in addition to the offer. Numerous models in 1:24 and 1:18, and a few in 1:43, were sold as a kit and could be mounted and designed by modellers to their own taste. Mostly, the models were also sold fully assembled.

Many models existed in different versions, mostly in a civil and a racing version, sometimes in police or Carabinieri execution. Currently, Bburago is owned by the MC group.

Particularly well known Bburago was in the 1980s with the 1:18 replicas of contemporary Ferrari models before the license rights exclusively went to Mattel.

Today Bburago counts in the collecting scene to the detail poorer but for cheaper models.
