BC Dynamo Moscow

MBK Dynamo Moscow is a basketball club from Moscow. He belongs to the Sports Club Dynamo, which was founded in 1923.

Dynamo Moscow won the USSR championship twice (1937 and 1948 ) and was twice runner-up of the USSR (1944 and 1990 ) and twice the Russian vice-champion (1995 and 1996).

In 1997 the association was disbanded due to financial problems, newly established in 2001, however.

The European ULEB Cup was won in 2006 and the following year they reached the quarter- finals of the Europa League. For the 2007 /08 season has been committed as a coach Svetislav Pešić, who remained there only until April of the following year.

Together with nine other clubs came out in 2010 Dynamo from the Super League Russia to participate in the newly established Professional Well Basketbolnaja league. For financial reasons, the club was excluded after a year of this league.

With the beginning of the season 2012/13 Dynamo Moscow starts again in the second Russian league, the Super League.
