BC Levski Sofia

BC Levski Sofia is a Bulgarian basketball team, which is part of the club Levski Sofia from Sofia. The teams in the men's and the women's won a total of 52 national and four international titles.

History

The club was founded in 1914, a basketball team represents Levski since 1923.

Gentlemen

The men's team of the club has always played in the 1940s a significant role in the Bulgarian club basketball and won the championship until 2001, seventeen times. This one was most successful club by 2008 local rivals Akademik scored his eighteenth title. Also very successfully cut the men's team from the Bulgarian Cup, this one could get hold of fourteen times, most recently in 2010.

International won the men's title, in 2010 they won the Balkan League.

Ladies

The women's team dominated in the 80s and 90s, the Bulgarian Women's Basketball League and secured eight championships and thirteen Cup victories.

However, the greatest success of the women's team was winning the highest European Cup in women's basketball, the Euro League. This one won in 1984.

Hall

The club plays its home games from the comprehensive 4000 places Universiada Hall.
