Be Love

Be Love (Japaneseビーラブ, bīrabu ) is a Japanese manga magazine published since September 1980 twice a month in the Kodansha publishing house. It is one of the leading comic magazines for adult women and was largely responsible for the rising popularity of Josei manga, which led to the establishment of other magazines such as You and Big Comic for Lady in the 1980s.

The magazine first appeared as Be in Love, in 1982 but renamed. It was between 1995 and 2000 a constant circulation 270000-280000 per issue. 2006 and 2007 had Be Love a paid circulation of about 200,000.

The readers of the magazine are mostly working women and housewives, about one-tenth of students make.

Most comics in this publication are everyday and love stories with adult women in the foreground, but also stories with a historical setting and for pets are included.
