Beach House

Beach House is a US -American- French Dream- pop duo from Baltimore.

Band History

The French-born singer Victoria Legrand, niece of the composer Michel Legrand and guitarist Alex Scally joined together in 2005 under the name Beach House. On the Internet, they made first attracted attention with the song Apple Orchard they were represented on Pitchforks Infinite Mixtape. The label Carpark took them under contract and released her debut album in 2006, which carries the band's name. However, the album remained fairly unsuccessful, only the second publication Devotion brought them two years later in the U.S. Heatseeker charts among the new discoveries at No. 5 According to a label change to Sub Pop came with the third album Teen Dream in 2010, the breakthrough. It reached the Top 10 in the rock album charts and # 43 in the official Billboard 200 Moreover Beach House was so successful in the UK charts.
