Bead Game

The Bead Game, French title Histoire des perles, is a Canadian animated short film by Ishu Patel from the year 1977.

Action

Some pearls appear and form worms, which move by crawling. From pearls always form a new population forms, starting from early snails and dinosaurs, to mammals and humans. Each population fought in their own way and destroys the opponent, which decomposes into beads. Mankind fought each other, the means are becoming bolder - arrows to knives and shield, to guns, tanks and missiles with huge armies. It comes to pearls explosion, leaving a person who holds an atom in his hands.

Awards

The Bead Game in 1978 for an Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film " nomination, but could not prevail against Le château de sable itself. That same year, Patel received a BAFTA in the category " Best Short Fictional Movie."
