Beady Eye

Beady Eye is a British rock band that was founded in May 2010 by four of the last five members of the rock band Oasis.

History

The two brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis since its foundation in 1991 were known as brawlers. In August 2009, it came to the final break, as at the Rock en Seine festival in France escalated a dispute and Noel left the band. Liam broke then on Oasis, but also announced that the remaining members would continue under another name. In May 2010, Liam announced that the band Beady Eye is hot and with producer Steve Lillywhite in the Studio. Andy Bell, who had previously played bass for Oasis, is now, along with Gem Archer guitarist of the band. As a bassist Jeff Wootton acted first, who has been working for Damon Albarn at the Gorillaz as a live bassist.

The first single Bring the Light was released in November 2010 and reached number 61 on the British charts. The first concerts in Germany were held in March 2011 in Cologne and in May in Hamburg. In Austria they played on August 18, 2011 at the FM4 Frequency Festival, which was attended by about 40,000 people. Beady Eye in 2011 were nominated for an NME Award in the category " Best New Band". The first album is titled Different Gear, Still Speeding and appeared in Europe on 25 February 2011. On August 12, 2012, she appeared at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. On June 10, 2013, the second album BE appeared.

2013 Jeff Wootton left the band and was replaced by former Kasabian guitarist Jay Mehler.
