Beam compass

A beam compass is a character device. It is used to transmit a larger extent and for scribing large circles.

It consists of a fitted with a graduated rod profile and two displaceable thereon tabs (also called runners ), each with a receiving hole in the needle depending on the application, lead or drawing pen tips can be used.

Calipers are built for radii of up to more than two meters.
