Bear Family Records

Bear Family Records is a re- publication label (LC 05197 ) for country music, German pop, rockabilly, rock and roll, rhythm & blues and jazz. It makes mainly by consuming researched and designed CDs and boxes of forgotten and lesser known artists from these areas a name. Seat of the label is an old farm in the northern German Holste - Oldendorf near Bremen.

History

The label was founded in 1975 by Richard Weise. The first release Goin ' Back To Dixie was dedicated to the country musician Bill Clifton.

Now, the label is valid in the range of re-releases and re-release of rarities in his field internationally as one of the most important and has been repeatedly awarded the Prize of the German Record Critics' Award and the Grammy.
