Beatrice of Rethel

Beatrix of Rethel (* 1130, † March 31, 1185 ) was the third wife of Roger II of Sicily and thus Queen of Sicily.

Beatrix was a daughter of Count Günther von Rethel. 1151 she married Roger II, king of Sicily, whose second wife Sibylle of Burgundy had died shortly before in a miscarriage.

The only child of Roger and Beatrix was Konstanze, who was born in 1154 after the death of Rogers. Constance was after the death of William II Queen of Sicily and by her marriage to Henry VI. German Empress.
