Beatrice Omwanza

Beatrice Omwanza ( born February 24, 1974) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

She was at the World Cross Country Championships Sixth on the short distance in 1999. In 2003, she won the Paris Marathon in 2:27:44. A year later, she was third in the Ruhr Marathon and presented at the Berlin Marathon in fourth with 2:27:19 personal best at.

In a marathon, the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 they finished 29th place after they had won earlier this year the Turin Marathon. In 2006, she was third in the Madrid Marathon.

In 2007 she won the Paderborn Easter Run for the second time after 2005 on the half marathon course and put it with a 1:11:15 personal record. After a third place at the Hamburg Marathon she managed a victory at the premiere of Kassel Marathon. At the Berlin Half Marathon 2008, she finished sixth with a time of 1:12:40. In the same year she won with 2:37:36 for third place at the Vienna City Marathon and was able to defend the victory at Kassel Marathon.
