Béatrice Thomas

Beatrice Thomas ( born June 9, 1984 in New York City ) is a German funk and soul singer of U.S. origin. She lives in North Rhine -Westphalia.

Thomas, born as the daughter of a German Buddhist and an African American author and musician who also worked as a model among other things, for the sporting goods manufacturer Puma and Nike. She studied musicology she graduated at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich. As a singer Thomas was among other things in the foreground of the bands Street Live Family, King Kamehameha Club Band, Ladies Live, New City Beats and Technotronic ( Pump up the Jam ). She also worked as a background singer with other bands, such as Sandra ( Mary Magdalene ), UB40 and The Temptations. In 2010 she released her first album under the title Blackbird.
