Beatrice von Dovsky

Beatrice (from) Dovsky (* July 14, 1866 in Vienna, † November 18, 1923 in Vienna) was an Austrian poet, writer and actress.

To Dovskys works include poetry, short prose and fairy tales, such as " The Vienna brat ", the " The madam ," the " Twelve tales from the Ostmark " (1913) and the travel narrative " From Penzing to Beijing ", Vienna, 1901. She was buried in the cemetery Hietzing in Vienna.

1936 Dovskygasse in Vienna Hietzing was named after her.

Libretto Mona Lisa

Their most famous work is the libretto for the opera Mona Lisa, which was set to music by Max von Schillings in two acts and premiered in 1915. Some of it also has the conductor and composer Carl Arthur Richter 1946. Nature of its Opus 36 "Mona Lisa " Chosen Dramatic Overture, a work for wind band.

The libretto was created in 1913 after the re-emergence of Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting Mona Lisa, which had been stolen two years earlier.
