Beaucourt-en-Santerre
Beaucourt -en- Santerre ( Picard: Boucourt -in- Santerre ) is a northern French village with 178 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes Avre Luce Moreuil, in the canton Moreuil.
Geography
The church in the countryside Santerre is located north of the generously -developed Territory road D934 (formerly Route nationale 334) from Amiens to Noyon 8 km east-northeast of Moreuil at the department road D28.
History
Between Beaucourt, Mézières -en- Santerre and Fresnoy -en- Chaussée was a Roman Vicus.
The devastated in several battles of the First World War Municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
