Beautiful People (U.S. TV series)
Beautiful People is an American drama series with Daphne Zuniga, Sarah Foret and Torrey DeVitto in the lead roles, designed by Michael Rauch. It was produced from 2005 to 2006 for the U.S. cable channel ABC Family. The series is about a family that moves from New Mexico to New York City and there begins a new life. In the U.S., the series began on 8 August 2005 at ABC Family, while their German -language Original Air Date was on display from May 19, 2007 at the ORF one.
Action
After her husband left her for a young mistress, Lynne Kerr decides along with her two teenage daughters, Karen and Sophie to start a new life. They therefore attract from the small town Esperanza in New Mexico in the cosmopolitan city of New York City, where Sophie was awarded a scholarship at the prestigious Brighton School. While Sophie new experiences at the very elite Brighton School makes, Karen tries to start a career as a model. Lynne versa in addition to her first great love, the world of fashion, back and works for a prominent sportswear designer.
Instrumentation and synchronization
The German synchronization was created under the dialogue director of Ursula von Langen by the synchronous Company Scalamedia in Munich.
Broadcasting and publishing
In the U.S., the broadcast of the series began on 8 August 2005 at the cable channel ABC Family for a new episode of the series Wildfire. The ratings for the premiere of this amount to 1.3 million viewers and a rating of 0.6 in the key demographic of 18-49 year-olds. After eight episodes shown, the broadcast on 26 September 2005 was initially completed. Due to the good rates for 2005, eight further episodes were ordered in October, whose charisma of 6 March was on display until 24 April 2006. In August 2006, the series was then without specifying an official reason, declared over.
The German Original Air Date was partly irregularly from May 19 to October 13, 2007 in Austria, the ORF one. A German transmission is planned from October 8, 2013 at the pay-TV broadcaster ProSieben Fun.
The series was released in the U.S. and Canada to the region number 1 on 8 August 2006 on DVD. Publication in other English-speaking countries, as well as in German-speaking there is not.
