Bebe Buell

Beverle Lorence Buell ( * July 14, 1953 in Portsmouth, Virginia) is an American musician and singer, and a former fashion model and Playmate. She is the mother of actress Liv Tyler.

Life

After her schooling her mother Dorothea gave her daughter the New York Ford Modeling Agency and Bebe Buell began a career as a model. In 1974 she was discovered by Playboy magazine and posed in the November issues of the U.S. and Germany the same year as a Playmate.

Even as a little girl to Buell was very interested in music; she loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Also during her modeling time they often went to concerts and quickly became a well-known groupie. She had affairs with Stiv Bators, Elvis Costello, Jimmy Page, David Bowie and Iggy Pop. The longest relationship she entered into with the solo artist Todd Rundgren. From him she broke up until the year 1977.

After an affair with Steven Tyler Buell became pregnant. She turned back to Todd Rundgren, who in the following years by the daughter Liv as a biological father cared. It was only in late childhood Buell opened her daughter 's last name Rundgren wore to the point that Tyler was her father.

In 1980, Buell their first band, the B -Sides, which got a contract with an independent label. On the first LP played Cars and Rick Derringer. The commercial success failed to materialize. Only with the second band The Gargoyles founded in 1985, it turned a success. Large record companies offered contracts.

1992 Buell married the Canadian rock star and guitarist of the band Sharkskin and The Conspiracy; Coyote Shivers. The marriage lasted until 1999. During the same year took daughter Liv from home and Bebe Buell decided to continue their musical career. Together with Don Fleming, she produced CDs for her solo project.

In 2000, Buell met Jim Wallerstein, the singer of the band Vacationland, whom she married on 25 August 2002.
