Bebe (singer)

Bebe ( born May 9, 1978 in Valencia as María Nieves Rebolledo Vila ) is a Spanish singer and actress.

Bebe grew up in a musical family in San Vicente de Alcántara ( province of Badajoz, Extremadura ). Her parents were members of the folk band Suberina. In 1996 she went to Madrid to study acting.

In 2004, she released her debut album Pafuera Telarañas in Spain. She became internationally known in 2005 when he won the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Their first single Malo came into the charts around the world. She also contributed to Que nadie me levante la voz in the theme song for the sitcom Aida on the Spanish station Telecinco.

As an actress, she had roles in several Spanish films, including Al sur de Granada (2002 ), La educacion de las hadas (2006) and Caótica Ana ( 2006).

She won the 2007 Goya for Best Original Song ( " Tiempo pequeño ", from the film La educacion de las hadas ).
