Beckii Cruel

Beckii Cruel, bourgeois Rebecca Flint ( born June 5, 1995) is a British schoolgirl who was known as a dancer and singer on the Internet in Japan.

Biography

Rebecca Flint comes from the Isle of Man and is the daughter of a dance teacher. At age 11, she found that Japanese girls manga series Fruits Basket and became interested from then on for manga and Japanese anime. Finally, she began in 2007 in YouTube with its own stand, where she dressed like the manga characters and Japanese pop music (J- Pop ) Dances aufführte.

It was released in Japan aware of them and their videos soon reached six-digit call numbers. Even the popular Japanese Internet portal Nico Nico Douga increased its notoriety. To their popularity helped that it comes very close to the clothing and appearance to the manga characters.

Finally, the major Japanese label Tokuma decided in summer 2009 to take up the Internet phenomenon and market them as Beckii Cruel. In October 2009, she first appeared in Japan, the 14 -year-old two further older dancers, Sarah and Gemma Cruel Cruel from France from the UK, were set aside, which operate as Cruel Angels. In December, a DVD was released, which reached number 8 in the DVD charts. In February 2010, the official debut single from the Cruel Angels " where Tsubasa Kudasai " that could keep for two weeks in the Japanese charts and reached number 84 appeared.

2013 Flint collaborated with the British band Area 11 for their song Shi No Barado on the album All the Lights in the Sky.
