Becky Fischer

Becky Fischer ( * 1951 in Bismarck, North Dakota) is an American pastor of the Pentecostal movement, which preaches, especially to children. She became famous in the documentary Jesus Camp worldwide.

Life

Career

Fischer's family is engaged generations in the Pentecostal movement for three (father ), and four (mother). Her grandfather was for 75 years an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God. Fischer spent 23 years as a businesswoman in her hometown Bismarck, North Dakota, the last eight years part-time as a pastor for children. In 1999, she moved to North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, in order to join Tasch Ministries International, a Christian organization which specializes in mission trips for children. After working as a pastor for Rick Joyner Morningstar Ministries in Wilkesboro, she returned to North Dakota to start their own organization, Kids in Ministry International. She is the author of several textbooks for Sunday school and also author of the book Redefining Children's Ministry in the 21st Century. Prior to her ecclesiastical career, she was also a presenter of a country music radio station and managed a motel.

Jesus Camp
