Becontree tube station

Becontree is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 5 at the Gale Street. In the year 2011 there were 2.76 million passengers these from the District Line station.

The opening took place in 1926 by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, then under the provisional name of Gale Street Halt. As of September 12, 1932, after completion of the electrification of the line between Barking and Upminster, wrong here also to the District Line. Since 1962, the railroad no longer holds in Becontree, the second platform has since remained unused.
