Bedford M series
The Bedford M series was a truck chassis, the Bedford produced since 1939. The chassis had rear wheel drive and was for a live load of 2 - 3 tons designed. There were two wheelbases, 3,048 mm and 3,632 mm. Motorised it was in each case with a straight six -cylinder petrol engine
Through a single-plate, a manual four- speed gearbox and a worm gear, the engine power was transferred to the floating rear axle. The hydraulically actuated brakes came from Lockheed and are equipped with a brake booster.
There were seven variants of the M- series:
- MSZ: chassis without bodywork
- MSC: Chassis with cab
- MSD: tipper
- MST: normal tipper
- MLZ: chassis without bodywork
- MLC: Chassis with cab
- MLD: tipper
