Beethoven on a treasure hunt is an American feature film from the year 2003. He is the fourth installment of the film A dog named Beethoven Saint Bernard Beethoven as the main character.
Action
The twelve -year-old Sara Newton flies out of the summer camp and to spend time with her St. Bernard Beethoven one month at their chaotic Uncle Freddie Kablinski in the sleepy town of Quicksilver. The brunette Garrett provide it before the equally quirky residents of the village.
When Sara and Beethoven with Freddie and Garrett go fishing, Beethoven found in a disused mine an old bill. When Sara wants to pay in a shop with Beethoven's bill, the seller considers him counterfeit money. Sara wants to leave the bill at Sheriff Julie Dempsey and learns from her that this is from the 1920s and now has a great value to collectors.
The mayor told Sara that the mercury mine of quicksilver to the village brought eerie wealth, until it was shut down due to health hazards. He also tells of the gangster couple Rita and Moe Selig, who committed a series of bank robberies in the 1920s. On the run, she drowned in a lake of quicksilver; their prey, however, was never found. Supposedly looking for the ghosts of gangsters at night after the couple's money.

During the night someone breaks into the house of Uncle Freddie. The old dollar bill disappears, its place is now a red carnation. When they suspect the librarian and break into his library, they find photos of the gangster couple and a negative strip.
The next morning, Beethoven has disappeared; is on the mail box again a carnation. Garret is on the negative strip is a photo showing the gangster couple with a baby. Sara thought that the gangster couple did not drown, but escaped in truth, and the librarian is her child. A clear indication for them is that " Giles ", the name of the librarian, read backwards, "Blessed ", the name of the couple's gangster shows. The librarian told Sara and her friends the story: After the Selig would almost drowned, they fled to Canada and ended their career bank robber. In addition, a search of the money was as good as impossible as the treasure map has gone down in the lake. After the death of Giles Selig wanted to find the money, but finally gave up his search for sometime. Beethoven, however, is not with him.
It turns out that Mayor Herman stole the bill and Beethoven has kidnapped. With its help, he wants to find the treasure. However, Beethoven can escape and goes to Sara and her uncle. He leads Sara and her friends in the mine to the hiding place of the treasure. Since Freddy's car was sabotaged, he calls Julie to help. In the meantime, Harold steals the money and flees. However, he bumps into Julie's police car, provided by Beethoven and immediately arrested by Julie.
