Beg to Differ (English phrase: allow yourself to think otherwise ) is the third studio album by American hardcore / metal band Prong. It was released on March 12, 1990 on Epic Records. It is the first album of the band on a major label, and the first on which the metal elements outweigh the hardcore roots.

Music Videos are admitted Beg to Differ and Lost and Found, but the pieces did not appear as a single singles.

Music style

After appeared in 1988 Force - Fed album, which still had a raw hardcore sound, Beg to Differ is clearly technical and disciplined and will appear in an on Thrash Metal, some also the Industrial Metal ajar sound robe. Genesis

After the release of Force Fed Prong walked first time in 1989 on a European tour. In the UK, they played with BBC presenter John Peel a Peel Sessions, which was released in 1990 as an EP. After returning to the U.S., they played a concert in the opening act of the Cro -Mags and Destruction at Club Ritz. A few months later Epic Prong took them under contract, whereby a much larger budget for the next plate was available. Was followed by a European tour opening for Faith No More, and a headlining tour with Mind Over Four in Autumn 1990. Texts

Reception

The cover design is by Brian Schroeder, also known as Pushead, an underground designers. He worked among others Metallica, the Misfits and Corrosion of Conformity. The band already had known him since 1986, when he was an author at skate magazine Thrasher.
