Beggars Group

Based in West London Beggars Group combined with XL Recordings, 4AD, Too Pure and Beggars Banquet Records label the origin of some influential independent label.

To put an end to the alleged term confusion, renamed the label group since mid-2000 as Beggars Group Ltd, to illustrate the difference to the formerly specialized in guitar music master label Beggars Banquet.

Since mid- 2002, the U.S. independent label Matador Records has become part of the Beggars Group and is marketed throughout Europe over the Beggars offices and promoted. Since 2007, the British traditional label Rough Trade Records is part of the Beggars Group.

In April 2008, the Beggars Group announced that Baggers Banquet will rise as Too Pure in 4AD as part of a restructuring as well.

In Germany all artists are managed by the Beggars office in Hamburg. The products are distributed via the company also based in Hamburg Indigo.
