BEHER (ham)

BEHER or Bernardo Hernández is a producer of Spanish ham with the protected designation of origin DO Jamón de Guijuelo ( ham Guijuelo ). The company is based in Guijuelo ( province of Salamanca ). Accom was founded in 1930 and is a family business in its third generation. Accom is now one of the 300 biggest companies of Castile and León.

2001 and 2004 was accom from IFFA Delicat, the "International trade fair for the meat industry " in Frankfurt, as "Best International Company " award. Its flagship product " Bellota Oro ", was also nominated in 2007 and 2010 by the IFFA, "Best ham in the world ."

History

Beginning of the year 1930, Bernardo Hernández Blásquez the company. In the 1970s, the founder's son, Bernardo Hernández García took over the company and began the breeding of the Iberian pig in its own plants.
