Beit Medrash Hagadol Synagogue of Jonava

The synagogue Jonava ( lit. Jonavos sinagoga ) is the only surviving synagogue in the Old City of Jonava ( at the intersection of Vilniaus and Sodų Street). Jonava is a Lithuanian town in the Rajongemeinde Jonava, 35 km from Kaunas.

The end of the 19th or early 20th century built historicist building has many architectural changes. New windows were installed in style unconstitutional, there is hardly initially obtained decorative details. The interior was completely lost. Since Soviet times here a bakery was located.

The building is currently privately owned, its future is uncertain.
