Beixin culture

The Shanghai Rainbow Culture (Chinese北 辛 文化, pinyin Beixin wenhua ), which is dated by their archaeological site Beixin the period from 5400-4400 BC, was a Neolithic culture in Shandong, China, and has close relations with the Dawenkou culture on.

The eponymous site in the lower reaches of the Yellow River in 1964 in the village of Shanghai Rainbow ( Shanghai Rainbow cun北 辛 村) in the southeast of Tengzhou (腾 州) discovered and excavated from 1978 to 1979.

The Shanghai Rainbow - site ( Shanghai Rainbow yízhǐ北 辛 遗址) is since 2006 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-105 ).
