Belanglo State Forest

The Belanglo State Forest is a national park in the Australian state of New South Wales. The terrain consists of a man-made since 1919 Monterey pine forest, with the surrounding natural vegetation. The area is approximately 3,600 acres in size and in the eastern, the Hume Highway facing part systematically traversed by navigable, unpaved roads. The area is located about 11 kilometers west of the town Moss Vale in the catchment area of Sydney ( about 100 km to the northeast ) and Canberra ( 135 km to the southwest ) and is a popular destination dar. Accordingly, the forest with barbecue areas and campsites is equipped.

The area is still used as a pine plantation and timber supplier for a nearby paper mill.

1992 and 1993, the Belango State Forest became known as locality of seven corpses of young people. As perpetrators of the Australian Ivan Milat was convicted in 1996. Since corpses were repeatedly found here, which could only be partly associated with the serial killer Milat.
