Belga is a Belgian news agency. The company is based in the Brussels suburb of Schaerbeek / Schaerbeek.

The news agency was founded in August 1920 under the name " Agence de Presse Telegraph and belge ( Belga ) ". Initially, only French-speaking, 1944, with the Netherlands, the second main language of Belgium added (the third official language, German is not used ). 1948 acquired the Belgian newspapers, the majority of the press agency. In 1970, the editorial staff has been split into a Dutch and a French-speaking part.
