The Belgian national ice hockey team is the national women's hockey national team of Belgium in women's hockey. In January 2011, the team is on the 26th place of the IIHF World Ranking.

History

The Belgian national ice hockey team of the women took part in 2000 for the first time a Women's World Cup. At their first World Cup finals, the team failed to qualify for the B World Cup, and in the following year to qualify for the Division II In the Olympic year 2002, the Belgian national team took advantage of the free time and participated in the group 2 of the IIHF World Women's Challenge part. From 2003 to 2008, the Belgians were in part in Division III, where they always occupied the third and fourth place.

Since the divisions were III to V not played at the 2009 World Cup and 2010 due to the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver anyway held no Women's World Cup, Belgium denies first time in 2011 after three years a World Cup game and tratt continue in Division III. With five defeats they dismounted in the Division IV, but due to the cancellation of several teams, they played the following year in the higher Division II B, where they reached the last place and had to play again in Division III.
