Belinga

Province

Belinga is a settlement in the province Woleu - Ntem Gabon in the north to the border with the Republic of Congo.

The municipal area is an iron ore deposit. It was prospected in 1895, its volume is estimated at one billion tons. It is believed that the deposit extends to the neighboring Cameroon and the Republic of Congo. 2006, the China Machinery Engineering Corporation was awarded a concession for the exploitation of iron ore.
