Belize District

Belize District is one of six provinces ( districts ) in the Central American state of Belize with the provincial capital Belize City, which is the largest city in the country at the same time.

More cities in Belize District are: Hattieville, Lady Ville, San Pedro, Caye Caulker and the places Burrel Boom, Crooked Tree and Gales Point. Approximately 50 km west of Belize City is the Belize National Zoo. The Mayan ruins of Altun Ha are also located in Belize District.

For area of Belize District also includes the islands of Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker and St. George 's Caye and other minor islands off the coast of Belize.

Belize District has a population of 91,000 (calculated 2006).
