Belkovsky Island

The Belkovski Island (Russian Бельковский остров ) is the westernmost and smallest of approximately 500 km ² Anschuinseln. It belongs to the archipelago of the New Siberian Islands.

The flat island whose highest peak has 120 m, is known for its walrus and bird breeding grounds.

She was discovered in 1808 by Russian traders Belkow, whose name it bears today.
