Bell 205

Bell 205 is a civilian version of the helicopter Bell UH -1 of the U.S. manufacturer Bell Helicopter.

History

The Bell 205 is a further development of the Bell 204, which stood at U.S. forces and their allies from the mid-fifties in use. The first flight of the new model took place on 16 August 1961 delivery to the military started under the designation UH -1D in 1963. From the model were up in the 1980s, over 12,000 copies ( both civilian and military) built, also by licensees in other countries. Many of the helicopters are still in use today.
