Bell 505 Jet Ranger X
The Bell 505 is a helicopter properties under development stage of the US- American manufacturer Bell Helicopter.
History
The helicopter was first presented as a concept proposal at the Paris Airshow in 2013 as Bell SLS (Short Light Single). The official naming as Bell JRX 505 (Jet Ranger X ) was carried out at Heli Expo 2014. For the production site of the Lafayette Regional Airport in Lafayette was elected in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
As the successor of the highly successful Bell 206, the 505 is in direct competition with the Robinson R66.
Construction
The single-engined machine is powered by a Turbomeca Arrius 2R with fully digital engine control FADEC. For Avionics Garmin G1000 H is provided.
