Bellevue is a city in Erie County, Huron County, Seneca County and Sandusky County in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 8,193 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Sandusky Metropolitan area. Bellevue was the home of Henry Morrison Flagler when he met John D. Rockefeller united to found Standard Oil Company. The property of the former Bellevuer residence on the southwest road is the current position of the Mad River and Nickel Plate Railroad Museum. Local students attend the Bellevue High School.
