Belleydoux

Belleydoux is a commune in the French department of Ain, in the Rhône -Alpes.

Geography

Belleydoux is located on 834 m above sea level. M., about ten kilometers east of the city Oyonnax (air line). The farming village extends extreme northeast of the Haut- Bugey, in the Jura, on a sloping to the southeast slope above the valley of Semine, compared to the Roche de la Fauconnière, at the edge of the plateau of the Hautes- Combes.

History

Is first mentioned Belleydoux in 1159th It belonged to rule Gobet. Since the Middle Ages the village was under the suzerainty of the Counts of Savoy. The Treaty of Lyon in 1601 it passed to France.
