Bellstedt
Bellstedt is a municipality in the Thuringian Kyffhauserkreis. Fulfilling municipality ( administrative center ) is the nearby town of Ebeleben.
Geography
Bellstedt located in the northwestern part of the Thuringian Basin. The town is located 12 km (airline ) southwest of Sondershausen and 4 kilometers (direct distance ) south-east of Ebeleben. Bellstedt is located on the left bank of the Helbe.
History
Bellstedt was called in old deeds Baldersteti, Bilistat and Bilistade.
During the Thirty Years' War Bellstedt and Thüringenhausen had an extended stay Branch locations of Hohenebra, as the vicar from 1629 to 1640 worked in Bellstedt. This status ended in 1657 when the town again received its own pastor.
Until July 1, 1850 Bellstedt was a dish village where the property rule was responsible for the jurisdiction. You also stood on the patronage over school and church. Here, the local parish was occupied alternately with the sovereign, because this continues to have possessed the patronage of the branch church in Thüringenhausen. Originally the church patronage was granted to the monastery Ilfeld.

Culture and sights
The Lutheran Church of St. Andrew is originally from the 14th century. On March 22, 1585 received the Municipality of Johann Günther I. permission to gather a collection for the reconstruction of the dilapidated church. A major repair was 1709/10. The barrel-vaulted hall church with narrower polygonal has a gable roof on the west roof riders. The north side has a pointed arch portal with Maßwerkfüllung.
