Belo

The Belo Corp.. is a publicly traded American media company. It originated in the middle of the 19th century as a newspaper publisher. After restructuring in 2008, he is now owner of 20 television stations and two regional cable news channels. The company is based in the Texan city of Dallas. It is the oldest continuously existing businesses in Texas.

History

The origin of the company was a newspaper publisher in Galveston, published in the April 11, 1842 from the Daily News. In 1857 he began the publication of the Texas Almanac.

Alfred Horatio Belo acquired the publishing house in 1876.
