Beloit is a city in Rock County to the south of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2000, Beloit had 35,775 inhabitants. One estimate in 2006 showed an increase of the population to 36 348.

Geography

Beloit is located at 42 ° 30'30 " north latitude and 89 ° 01'54 " west longitude and extends over 42.8 km ², spread to 42.0 km ² land and 0.8 km ² water surface.
