Below the Salt

Below the Salt is the fourth album by the British folk - rock band Steeleye Span. It was published in 1972 under the order at Chrysalis CHR 1008, a subsequent CD release was done at Shanachie Records (Just records Babelsberg ).

At the beginning of 1972, the group had to once again handle line-up changes. At this time, she was one of the most popular folk formations in the UK, and they had to cope with the departures of Ashley Hutchings and Martin Carthy. After the replacement by Rick Kemp ( bass) and Bob Johnson ( guitar), the group met again only at major festivals in late summer with a completely new repertoire to the public.
