Ben Barres
Ben Barres (born Barbara Barres) is an American biologist and physician.
Life
After school Barres studied biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a medical degree from Cornell University and received Barres doctorate reached Barres in neurobiology from Harvard University. After studying end Barres got a job as a university professor at Stanford University, California. His research focus is on the study of the relationship between neurons and glial cells in the nervous system. As a transsexual Barres took in 1997 before a gender reassignment surgery.
