Ben Chaplin

Ben Chaplin (* as Benedict Greenwood on July 31, 1970, according to other sources 1969 in London ) is a British actor.

Life and achievements

Chaplin graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He made his debut as an actor in 1992, but was only thanks to his role in the BBC television series Game On (1995 ) is known. Chaplin played in the movie The Truth About Cats (1996 ) alongside Uma Thurman and Janeane Garofalo, in the film The Thin Red Line (1998) with Sean Penn, Adrien Brody and James Caviezel in the film Birthday Girl - Bride on order ( 2001) with Nicole Kidman, in the film murder by Numbers (2002) opposite Sandra Bullock.

Chaplin also appeared in several plays such as This Is How It Goes by Neil LaBute. For his role in The Retreat from Moscow, he was nominated for a Tony Award in 2004. For his role in the play The Glass Menagerie, he was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award.
