Ben Clymer

Benjamin Clymer ( born April 11, 1978 in Bloomington, Minnesota ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

The 1.85 m wide winger began his career with the Rochester Mustangs in the U.S. Junior League USHL and the team of Clarkson University in the play mode of the NCAA before the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 as 27 players in the second round by the Boston Bruins has been selected.

Even before he played a single time for the Bruins in the NHL, the shooter was right for the season 1999/ 00 transferred to the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he belonged to the permanent staff after just one season. With the Lightning Clymer won the 2004 for the first time in his career, the Stanley Cup.

After the lockout season 2004/ 05, who spent the Americans during EHC Biel in the Swiss National League B, Ben Clymer moved to the Washington Capitals. After he was transferred to the AHL to the Hershey Bears, he moved to the 2008/ 09 season in the KHL for Belarusian HK Dinamo Minsk. For the season 2009/10 he moved to ERC Ingolstadt in the DEL. After one season he moved the Americans for HC Lugano in the Swiss National League A. For the Ticino but Clymer graduated no game as it turned out from the game due to a knee injury for the entire 2010/11 season. In May 2011, he was again committed by the ERC Ingolstadt of the DEL. End of June 2011 announced Clymer end of his career as an active player, as a decisive reason was called a serious knee injury.
